This Privacy Policy describes how Mind Nudge Lab ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use Mind Nudge Companion ("the Service") at mindnudge.chat and the associated website at mindnudgelab.com.

Our processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and the Danish Data Protection Act (Act No 502 of 23 May 2018).

What Data We Collect

When you use Mind Nudge Companion, we collect and process the following personal data:

Account data (collected when you sign up via Facebook Login):

• Your name

• Your email address

• Your profile picture

Coaching data (collected during your use of the Service):

• Habit goals and progress you share in conversation

• Reminders you set

• Coaching conversation history

Technical data:

• Push notification subscription tokens (if you enable notifications)

• Session identifiers

How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data to:

• Create and manage your account

• Provide AI-powered habit coaching personalised to you

• Remember your goals, progress, and preferences across sessions

• Send push notifications for reminders you have set

• Improve the quality of the Service

The legal basis for processing is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract) and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests in providing and improving the Service).

Facebook Login

If you choose to sign in using Facebook Login, we receive the following data from Meta Platforms, Inc.:

• Your name

• Your email address

• Your profile picture URL

This data is used solely to create and identify your account. We do not access your Facebook friends list, posts, or any other Facebook data. We do not share your data with Meta beyond what is required for the authentication process.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on a secure, self-hosted server located in Denmark. We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. Your coaching conversations and habit data are stored in an encrypted database and are not shared with third parties except as described in this policy.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion of your account and data, we will delete all personal data associated with your account within 30 days.

Third-Party Services

To provide the Service, we use the following third-party services:

• Meta (Facebook Login) — for authentication. Meta's Privacy Policy: https://www.facebook.com/policy

• Google (Gemini AI) — to power the AI coaching responses. Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

• Cloudflare — for secure content delivery. Cloudflare's Privacy Policy: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy

These providers only process data as necessary to provide their services and are bound by their own privacy policies.

Your Rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you

• Correct inaccurate data

• Delete your data ("right to be forgotten")

• Restrict processing of your data

• Object to processing of your data

• Data portability — receive your data in a structured format

Data Deletion

You can request deletion of all your personal data at any time by emailing Thomas@mindnudgelab.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". We will delete all data associated with your account within 30 days of receiving your request.

Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at Thomas@mindnudgelab.com and we will delete it immediately.

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in to Mind Nudge Companion. This cookie is strictly necessary for the Service to function. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this will prevent you from using the Service.
